We craft our Limited Selection Pinot Noir almost entirely from grapes grown at our Evan’s Ranch in western Santa Ynez Valley. The nearby Pacific Ocean, just ten miles away, exerts a strong marine influence on Evan’s Ranch, with daily morning fog and stiff afternoon breezes ensuring a long, cool growing season and the development of intense, varietally expressive flavors in our estate Pinot Noir grapes. We have also included a small amount from our Rancho Esperanza Vineyard located at the northwest tip of Santa Rita Hills.
Reflecting its cool-climate provenance, our Limited Selection Pinot Noir bursts from the glass with fresh, intense, black cherry, red raspberry, pomegranate, and rose petal aromas, complemented by notes of vanilla and spice. Delightfully rich and juicy on the palate, its bright, mouthfilling, dark cherry, black raspberry and blackberry flavors lead to a long, flavorful finish with lingering dark cherry, mineral and tea-leaf spice tones. A brilliant accompaniment to grilled salmon, roast duck and chicken, lamb chops and light pasta dishes, this delicious Pinot Noir will age beautifully for another 3-5 years.
